These Terms of Use govern your use of products and services provided by Briefcase Technology Pty Ltd (“Briefcase”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Briefcase offers case management and justice technology solutions, either as complete systems or as modular features (collectively, the “Services”). Our Services may be provided directly to enterprise customers, such as courts, tribunals, or other third parties. If you are an end user accessing our Services through such an enterprise customer, additional terms or conditions (including user agreements, confidentiality agreements or policies) may apply and be presented to you at login or otherwise.

Where no other terms apply, these Terms govern your use of our Services.

1. Use of Services

You must use the Services only for lawful purposes, in compliance with applicable laws, and in accordance with any usage instructions or restrictions provided by us or our enterprise customers.

You must not:

• misuse the Services in any way (for example, by attempting to gain unauthorised access);
• interfere with the operation of the Services;
• upload unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content.

2. Ownership & Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Services is owned by Briefcase or its licensors. You are granted a limited right to use the Services for their intended purpose, but you do not acquire any ownership rights.

3. Automated Features

The Services features technology which applies a human-in-the-loop approach. The Services may not always be accurate or complete, and must not be relied upon without human verification.

4. Disclaimer & Liability

To the extent permitted by law: the Services are provided on an "as is" basis; we disclaim all warranties and make no representations about fitness for purpose or accuracy; we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website or provided via enterprise customer portals
